The new Pulse Arena Opened at Gateway’s Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby
The owner of this venue, Gateway Casinos & Entertainment, promises gaming enthusiasts will love the new gaming offering, which is sure to draw both locals and tourists, especially due to prizes it has on offer.
A First of Its Kind in B.C.
The new gaming space has been launched by Gateway Casinos, in cooperation with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and Interblock
Pulse Arena will incorporate around 35 linked gaming stations, which are already up and running and ready to welcome casino patrons, offering an immersive atmosphere and an entertaining experience.
In addition to gaming stations, Pulse Arena also features a giant a 30-foot digital wall, whose goal is to amplify the social aspect of gaming and further enhance the overall experience. It should be noted the staff at Pulse Arena will use microphones and cameras to give their support to players and support them as they try to win as much money as possible.
Commenting on the opening of Pulse Arena, Rowland England, Vice President, Operations BC West, explained they were excited to introduce Pulse Arena exclusively at Grand Villa Burnaby, as it allowed them to offer a unique gaming experience that could be tailored to meet the changing needs of customers at any time of the day or week.
England pointed out the immersive gaming experience could only be found at Gateway Casinos properties in Canada and is the first-of-its-kind in British Columbia.
Offering Immersive Experience
Players will have the chance to participate in three casino games – such as blackjack, baccarat and roulette, at the same time, while the Arena’s setting will change depending on the time of day, offering a whole new perspective to the existing experience.
Burton Poitras, Interblock’s Vice President of Sales and Service, Canada, said they truly valued their partnership with Gateway Casinos and BCLC. He stated the launch of the Pulse Arena at Grand Villa Casino would bring new, cutting-edge technology to the casino floor and added his company was looking forward to seeing its players enjoy the many games on offer.
The expansion of Grand Villa Casino Burnaby was announced earlier this year. In addition to 1,200 slot machines, Gateway Casino planned to add 400 more through a partnership with the provincial monopoly. According to available information, the plans include a two-phase expansion that should be completed by the beginning of the next year.
Brad Desmarais, Vice President of Casino and Community Gaming at BCLC, which has just received the Compugen Awards 2019 Community Award for Technology Innovation, said the Pulse Arena was a great example of how the company was listening to player feedback, improving their technologies and modernizing the industry.
Desmarais pointed out the Crown corporation was constantly looking to bring fresh and innovative games to their players in British Columbia and emphasized they were thrilled to do just that with the introduction of Pulse Arena at Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby.
