The Long-Awaited NetEnt's Narcos Slot Finally Hits the Market
The brand-new game is titled Narcos and draws its inspiration from the popular Netflix series from Gaumont, of the same name, which represents a dramatization of the battle that various law enforcement agencies fought with the notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar, also known as El Patron, the boss of the Medellin cartel.
Set in the Columbian city of Medellin, Narcos features a traditional five-reel three-row layout, while its visual style will remind you of the Grand Theft Auto video game, with a variety of characters appearing on the reels as symbols.
No Pay-lines, But Plenty of Excitement
The recently-released slot doesn’t have traditional pay-lines on offer and instead has 243 different ways to win. This means that once the reels start spinning, players will need to match three or more adjacent symbols to start receiving payouts.
In addition to the game’s stunning visuals, Narcos also boasts a number of exciting and potentially lucrative features, that are sure to further enhance the overall gaming experience.
The list begins with the Drive-by feature, which will see bullets get launched all over the screen. Players don’t need to be frightened, as they will only target the game’s top-paying icons. Once they get hit, these icons will turn into Wilds, substituting for other Main Game symbols and helping players complete additional winning combinations.
The Wilds are also the crucial part of the Walking Wilds feature, where they’ll move one space to the left after each spin. This will continue until each and every Wild symbol appearing on the grid has left the reels.
Another feature that players can benefit from is the Locked Up feature. Once it’s activated, it will cause symbols to appear on the reels like they are incarcerated. Landing a minimum of three such symbols anywhere on the reels will result in a random coin win being awarded to the lucky player.
Free Spins Round Can Bring Huge Prizes
Last on the list of the special features, but definitely not the least, is the always popular Free Spins rounds. To trigger it, players will need to land three Scatter symbols simultaneously on reels 1, 3 and 5. This will award you with 10 free spins, while the winning potential is increased with the fact that the Locked Up symbols can still appear during this round, moving one step to the left across the reels and leading to handsome prizes along the way.
Commenting on the launch of the game, Bryan Upton who is the NetEnt Director of Games, said that ever since the company had first announced the deal with Gaumont to bring Narcos to the reels, the anticipation among players and their operator partners has been huge.
Upton added NetEnt was confident that the game would more than live up to its lofty expectations and add an exciting new option to the developer’s unbeatable branded catalogue.
Narcos comes only a couple of day after the launch of another new game, Arcane Reel Chaos. In addition to this, the renowned developer has recently signed new partnership agreements, including the one with DraftKings in New Jersey.
