Team up With Henry VIII in Play'n GO's Latest Slot
The new game draws its inspiration from English history and portrays one of the most popular rulers to have ever ruled this country: Henry VIII.
Fighting for the King’s Affection
Titled Battle Royal, this somewhat funny game brings together Henry VIII and his six wives and will see them battle for the king’s affection. Play’n GO has created an exciting game here, with features such as Wilds, Scatters, and bonus features making the overall gaming experience even more entertaining.
In the end, only one of his wives will have that privilege of being called the queen, while the others may end up losing their heads along the way.
Play’n GO’s latest creation features a five-reel three-row layout, and brings a total of 20 paylines, while the wagering starts at $0.20 and goes all the way to $100 per spin.
When it comes to symbols on the reels, players will notice they are divided into low-paying and higher-paying ones. The former includes the usual set of playing card suites, while the latter include Henry’s wives. The king will also be present on the reels, serving as the game’s Scatter symbol, while the game logo will act as the Scatter.
Players are sure to benefit from the Royal Flush feature, which is activated at random, and once it’s on it will turn all low-paying icons into one symbol.
Whenever Scatters find their place on reels 1 and 5, one of the two bonus features on offer will be activated, while players themselves will choose which one they’ll play: Free Spins or Long Live the King.
If you choose the Free Spins, you’ll see a guillotine on each reel, falling down on every spin. If a king’s wife lands underneath a falling guillotine, she will be beheaded, turning wild until the feature ends. The feature will go on until only one wife remains on the reels, and if she loses her head, the Long Live the King feature will be turned on.
This means the Long Live the King feature can be activated from the Free Spins round as well. The aim of this round is to help the king escape from his castle while collecting treasures along the way. Watch out, he’ll be chased by the ghosts of his wives, and if any of them succeed in catching him, the feature will come to an end.
Help Henry leave the castle unharmed and you’ll get an extra multiplier!
Commenting on the launch of Battle royal, Johan Törnqvist, CEO at Play’n GO, said the game was another strong title to cap a very successful year for the company. He pointed out that Play’n GO was finishing 2018 as strongly as it had started with the release of another creative game, that showed history in a fun and entertaining light.
