Scientific Games and Louisiana Lottery Extend Their Cooperation
An American company that provides gambling products and services to lottery and gambling organizations worldwide, Scientific Games, has announced the signing of a new deal with the Louisiana Lottery Corporation.
Under the provisions of this agreement, which represents an extension of the existing contract with the company, Scientific Games will provide its extensive portfolio of products and services to Louisiana Lottery for another five years.
A Mutually Beneficial Cooperation
The two sides began their cooperation back in 2005, while the current contract helped increase the sale of instant games by 40% on an annual level over the last eight years.
Commenting on the new deal, Louisiana Lottery President Rose Hudson said Scientific Games had proven to be a trusted partner and provider of instant games. She pointed out the two sides had worked together successfully to maximize profits for K-12 public education in Louisiana and added the Louisiana Lottery was very proud to rank second in the U.S. for the percentage of lottery revenue transferred to the state.
Thanks to the new deal, customers in Louisiana will still be able to enjoy instant games made by the gaming giant, including such popular titles as Triple Play, Power 5s and Make My Year.
In addition to instant games, the Nevada-headquartered company will also provide licensed-themed and Louisiana-themed games, such as Jackpot Pary and CrawCash. Scientific Games has been providing the Louisiana Lottery with around 70 instant games each year, with price points ranging from $1 to $10.
Helping Louisiana Lottery Increase Its Funds
John Schulz, Senior Vice President, Instant Products for Scientific Games said the company took great pride in providing long-time, strategic business support to the Louisiana Lottery, helping them responsibly increase funds for their state beneficiaries.
The list of these beneficiaries includes K-12 public education in Louisiana, as well as the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals-Office of Behavioural Health’s problem gambling programs.
Schulz also stated Scientific Games was looking forward to continuing to provide Louisiana players with exciting and innovative instant games.
During the fiscal year 2018, the Louisiana Lottery brought more than $171 million to the state coffers, which represent an increase of around 8% when compared to the previous fiscal period. This brought the Lottery’s cumulative contributions to more than $3.5 billion.
