Scientific Games Acquires Tech Art Inc
The Nevada-based company providing lottery service and casino equipment to operators around the world Scientific Games has announced the takeover of Tech Art Inc.
This Las Vegas-headquartered firm, with a vast experience in the market, supplies readers for blackjack hole-cards. Tech Art’s segment-leading card readers are utilized on approximately 90% of the blackjack tables used by licensed casino across the United States and its territories.
In a recently released statement, Scientific Games announced the acquisition of Tech Art would be completed by the end of the first quarter of the next year.

Although the provisions of the agreement haven’t been disclosed yet, it is revealed that Scientific Games will be using Tech Art’s flagship MAXTime 4H product in the future.
MAXTime 4H represent the next generation in table game security, offering increased profits, improved player satisfaction and the highest level of game protection available in the market. Basically, it is a combination of a chip tray and hole-card reader for blackjack, providing a wide variety of benefits along with an exceptional reliability.
In addition to MAXTime 4H, Tech Art’s Bet the Bust and Super Fun 21 will also find their way to Scientific Games.
According to Scientific Games, the company will use this opportunity to offer MAXTime 4H on the various markets outside of the United States, taking advantage of its extensive distribution network.
The latest deal is the latest acquisition of the Las Vegas company. Last month, it was announced the supplier announced the expanding of its digital games and online gambling portfolio with the purchase of NYX Gaming Group in a transaction worth $618 million.
