Pokerstars Extends Usain Bolt Partnership Through IAAF Monaco Diamond League
As his illustrious career draws to a close, Usain Bolt is preparing to take his recently signed agreement with global online poker superpower PokerStars to a whole new level.
Amaya-owned company PokerStars announced through its marketing sector this summer that the celebrated sprinter Usain Bolt would be joining Team PokerStars where he would be joined by the Hollywood A-lister Kevin Hart.
The two celebrities initially team up for the ‘All-in’ challenge and the Battle of Wits, but Pokerstars announced this week that Usain Bolt partnership will be further expanded through the sponsorship of the upcoming IAAF Monaco Diamond League Athletics meeting at the Stade Louis II on 21 July.
PokerStars will provide the bibs for all eight athletes competing in the men’s 100m race, Bolt’s favorite which is bound to draw plenty of attention given the fact it will be Bolt’s penultimate race in his career.
Bolt will use the Monaco Diamond League as the perfect opportunity to tune up for the IAAF London World Championship in London and there is great anticipation among the Athletics fans for this event.
A Place in History
Eric Hollreister, PokerStars Director of Corporate Communications, exclaimed PokerStars was proud to support the men’s 100m race in Monaco and further their relationship with Bolt himself.
“Usain is one of the greatest athletes in history and we look forward to seeing him in what will be an exciting event for sports fans around the world.” He went on to add that “PokerStars is proud to support the men’s 100m race at the IAAF Monaco Diamond League and further our relationship with Usain Bolt.”, Hollreister said.
Relationship with Usain Bolt will allow PokerStars to both be a part of athletics history and further promote their brand by tapping into a much wider and broader market.
