Playtech Buys BetBuddy
The Isle of Man-based gaming software supplier Playtech has announced the completion of the BetBuddy acquisition.
The financial details of the acquisition are unknown at this time, while the latest move should boost Playtech’s development and help the company to offer its products and services in a safer and more responsible manner.
Safety is a Paramount
As a responsible gambling analytics solution provider, BetBuddy should provide assistance to Playtech’s efforts through its in-house developed platform.
This platform was tested by Playtech earlier this year, and it proved extremely effective in recognizing risk behavioral patterns with the players.
Establishing a more responsible gambling setting is the main reason Playtech has decided to purchase BetBuddy. This decision was made not only because of the platform’s effectiveness but also because the team behind it consisted of skilled professionals, with vast experience and knowledge in this particular field.
Playtech will now offer its licensees an opportunity to integrate this platform, which is intended to enhance the company’s offer. Apart from protecting the players, BetBuddy should enable the company’s partners to keep up the pace with the ever-changing regulatory requirements, both locally and globally.
Indicator of Commitment
Ian Ince, Head of Regulatory Affairs at Playtech, said the purchase of BetBeddy was a clear indicator of the company’s commitment to responsible gambling. Ince added the responsible approach represented the foundation of Playtech’s business operations.
Commenting on the latest deal, Simo Dragicevic, BetBuddy’s Chief Executive Officers expressed his enthusiasm about working closely with Playtech experts and compliance teams.
Dragicevic said he was confident this partnership would be not only beneficial to players, but to the entire industry, by raising standards when it came to responsible gambling.
Founded in 1999, Playtech provides a wide variety of products and services, including online casinos, online poker rooms, online bingo games, online sports betting, mobile gaming, and live dealer games.
