Playtech BGT Sports Renews Yet Another Multi-Year Contract
Playtech acquired rival Best Gaming Technology in 2016 to forge a market-leading technology company called Playtech BGT Sports which offers turnkey wagering solutions for the contemporary omni-channel betting industry.
For nearly a year now, Playtech BGT Sports has been making huge waves in the gambling industry becoming one of the leading betting solutions providers, thus helping its parent company – Playtech – expand its footprint beyond the casino niche.
At the end of March 2017, it was announced that Playtech BGT Sports has renewed its contract with Boyle Sports in order to continue to support the Self Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs) for the total number of 600 machines.
And with another move that serves as a testament to the strength of the Playtech-owned company, here comes the news regarding another big name in the betting industry signing the new multi-year agreement extension with Playtech BGT Sports.
Under the newly-extended deal with the British betting powerhouse Paddy Power, Playtech BGT Sports is obliged to continue to support the retail network of this betting operator with its Self Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs) and sportsbook software as well.
Just like Boyle Sports before them, Paddy Power are also planning to increase the number of SSBTs in order to help meet their client demand and it is up to Playtech BGT to provide the market-leading technology.
Paddy Power believed new technology will allow the company to leverage their own intellectual property with Cash Cards and their unique Onside app, which allows customers to track and cash out their SSBT bets.
“Enhancing the customer experience through market leading technology is key to our retail strategy and PBS’ innovative, revenue-driving terminals provide the perfect platform to help us achieve our aims.”, Paddy Power’s managing director retail, David Newton, said.
