Play’n GO Names Magnus Olssen New Sales Director
Although no “wholesale changes” are planned at this moment, the company is looking to improve its overall sales.
Important New Addition
Play’n GO Chief Executive Officer Johan Törnqvist has announced the renowned developer has appointed new sales director. This important role has been given to Magnus Olsson, who’ll be tasked with overseeing the company’s sales and sales and the account management team.
Commenting on the latest move, Törnqvist explained his ultimate goal was to streamline the company. He added he believed that including customer-facing divisions under the same management as sales would boost Play’n GO’s operational efficiency.
Törnqvist also said that any additional changes weren’t planned for the time being. He stressed the company wasn’t rushing into anything, and that no wholesale changes were an agenda. Play’n GO’s CEO stated the firm was working well, and once again repeated no major changes were expected.
According to Törnqvist, combining these two teams into one represents “the first step in a strategy to focus on getting the most out of the customer-facing departments and to create a globally streamlined sales organisation within the business”. He pointed out that all these changes were aimed at offering a better client experience by bringing together the knowledge and experience of both these sectors. The final result should be a more consistent approach to the way the company operates.
Olsson has a vast industry experience that will definitely represent an invaluable asset to the company. Before joining Play’n GO in January this year, Olsson spent some time in companies such as Hewlett Packard and Juniper Networks, where he was in charge of overseeing sales operations in markets around the world.
Improving the Company’s Sales Strategy
Commenting on his responsibilities, Olsson said Play’n GO was a rapidly growing company and added he was looking forward to helping it drive continued growth and success.
Törnqvist praised Olsson’s capabilities and stated his experience would undoubtedly be of great benefit to the company. He also pointed out Play’n GO could test out and import working business models from other industries, and then use them to enrich the company’s current strategies moving forward.
Törnqvist noted that Olsson had already demonstrated the qualities needed to move forward in this effort and pointed out Magnus had a great deal of experience throughout his career which would prove crucial in achieving the desired results.
