Opening Date for Parq Vancouver Revealed
Following lengthy spells of delays and a good part of controversy surrounding it, Parq Vancouver is finally set to be officially opened at the end of September.
The grand opening of the city of Vancouver’s newest and largest casino is scheduled for 29 September when this project by Paragon Gaming worth $700 million will open its doors almost a year later than planned.
First Roll of Dice
Friday, September 29th will be an exciting day for the city of Vancouver’s gaming community.
Just before the new Parq Vancouver casino sees its first roll of the dice, the Edgewater Casino across the street will be officially closed after 12 years.
The Nevada-based operator Paragon Gaming is moving its Edgewater’s gaming license to the Parq Vancouver which was the main issue preventing the new casino from getting its official opening date.
Following the string of controversy and drama at the city’s political scene, the Parq Vancouver will be open for business at 11 PM with a celebratory roll of the dice.
Vancouver casino goers are getting a chance to enjoy a huge improvement to Edgewater Casino as the Parq will occupy nearly 700,000 square feet of floor area with two top-notch hotels accommodating 517 rooms at the JW Marriott and another 188 at the Douglas.
As for the casino itself, it will house 75 gaming tables on the main floor and the Salon level with baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, Sic Bio and poker. Additionally, players will be given a chance to enjoy in no less than 600 pence to five-dollar slots and 11 exclusive salons offering private gaming experience.
The Parq Vancouver will be the first LEED gold certified hotel and casino project in Canada.
