NetEnt Pushing Boundaries with First-Ever Virtual Reality Slot
Ever since the inception of the company in 1996, NetEnt have been pioneering the gambling industry, leading the way with its innovative and visionary approach.
It is all about quality, creativity and vision with the company responsible for some of the most popular slot games on the market.
As the company celebrated its 20th birthday in 2016, it was only fitting for NetEnt to take the wheel and make a bold drive into the relatively unknown world of Virtual Reality gaming.
Having first showcased an interactive innovation experience at ICE Totally Gaming 2016 with a Virtual Reality snippet from their popular slot game Jack and the Beanstalk, NetEnt are entering the real-money Virtual Reality slot world only a year later.
Virtual Reality (VR) market is a growing trend among consumers, who are seeking the alternative and more expressive gaming experience, and NetEnt has decided to answer to the need by announcing the arrival of VR version of one of company’s most popular slot games Gonzo’s Quest.
Per Eriksson, CEO of NetEnt, comments: “We firmly believe that VR has a given place in the future of online gaming, based on our research and the trends that we monitor. We remain focused on delivering the ultimate entertainment experience by taking this first step towards developing our first real-money VR slot. This is a milestone for NetEnt and the gaming industry.”
Ready for the New Season
NetEnt are planning to add Gonzo’s Quest VR game to its current multi-channel offering and to distribute it to customers in order to make sure to sit in the front row for the anticipated WebVR technology breach in 2017/18.
The company will be showcasing their prototype of the game at ICE Totally Gaming in London, from 7 – 9 February 2017, which is a fitting continuation of their last year’s Virtual Reality announcements.
