NetEnt Announces New Games At ICE
This year’s ICE has been extremely interesting when it comes to NetEnt, with the renowned casino game developer announcing several new titles based on popular TV series and movies.
NetEnt will launch the new Narcos video slot this year, one of the most popular Netflix TV shows at this moment, based on the story of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and watched in over 130 countries around the world.
Only The Very Best
According to available information, NetEnt will develop this games together with the French film company Gaumont, taking advantage of its vast experience.
Henrik Fagerlund, NetEnt’s Chief Product Officer said the series had a huge fan base across the globe, which would provide the company with a whole new demographic they could market its games to.
Gaumont is equally enthusiastic about this cooperation. Commenting on its latest partnership, one of the oldest film companies in the business stated it was convinced the Swedish company was capable of developing a game that would give the fans a completely new and different way to enjoy and experience Narcos.
An Exciting Year For NetEnt
Along with Narcos, NetEnt will launch a video slot inspired by the hit TV show Vikings, which should go live by the end of the year. Although little is known about the game itself at this moment, we can expect an action-packed title filled with potentially lucrative features.
Commenting on this game, Fagerlund said he was convinced Vikings would find a great response from the existing playing audience and create opportunities to tap into new demographics.
But that’s not all we can expect from NetEnt in the coming period since the company announced the launch of Gonzo’s Quest VR. Scheduled to be released in summer 2018, the VR game will be available via a web browser, which means it won’t require any sort of integration by operators.
