Mr Green Teams Up With PDC
Mr Green has signed a new partnership deal with the Professional Darts Corporation which will see the Swedish online gaming operator become the title sponsor of the Championship Finals scheduled to take place in November.
64 players will participate in the tournament which will be held from November 24-26 at the Butlins Minehead Resort in Somerset.
This move is a part the latest Mr Green market offensive, which saw company partner with the Scottish Premiership side Celtic FC and the sportsbook 2.0 product launch.
First Deal of Its Kind For Mr Green
PDC deal is the first Mr Green darts partnership, and to celebrate the latest cooperation, the company will offer a series of promotions in social media and on its main website. Apart from the United Kingdom, where PDC is based, Germany and the Netherlands will also benefit from this deal.
Commenting on the new deal, Mr Green Chief Executive Officer, Jesper Karrbrink said it was a great opportunity to partner with a major sporting event, especially since darts was very popular in some of the operator’s key markets.
He added the event promised to be a fantastic occasion, with lots of darts fans with whom Mr Green could start building a relationship as a brand.
64 Players Fighting For One Trophy
Matthew Porter, PDC Chief Executive Officer said the UK’s professional darts organization was delighted to welcome Mr Green as the new title sponsor of the Championship Finals.
The Mr Green Sport Players Championship Finals will be aired live in the UK, with play being held across six sessions. The reigning champion is Michael van Gerwen, who will be looking to win the trophy for the third year in a row.
The prize money is $605,000, while the eventual winner will take home a new tournament record of around $131,500.
