Mr Green Buys Evoke Gaming
Mr Green has started the new year in an impressive way.
After strengthening its position in the Danish online market, where the operator went live on December 28, 2017, the company has now announced another important move.
A Great Way to Kick-Off 2018
According to the latest information, the Swedish online gambling firm has acquired the Malta-based gaming development company Evoke Gaming for a consideration of $11.7 million. The initial payment will be $9.7 million, while the rest of the agreed sum will be paid out after certain conditions, stipulated in the agreement, are met.
This more than a mere takeover, since Evoke Gaming is a real gaming giant, with more than 80 people working in its Malta-based facility. With the completion of this acquisition, Mr Green will become the owner of various Evoke Gaming owned and operated online casino brands, such as Redbet, Bertil, MamaMia, and Vinnarum.
Redbet offers a wide variety of services, including casino, poker room and as well as a sportsbook, and is focused mainly on players in Sweden and the United Kingdom. Vinnarum casino offers its services to players in the Nordic regions, while Bertil and MamaMia operate exclusively in Sweden.
The Right Fit
Commenting on the acquisition, Per Norman, Mr Green Chief Executive Officer, confirmed that Evoke Gaming’s operations would continue to be headed up by Fredrik Stael Von Holstein, the company’s former CEO, who would join Mr Green’s Malta-based management team.
Norman said the latest move represented an important step in implementing Mr Green’s business strategy. He added the company would continue to develop brands with the capacity to operate on a global scale.
On the other hand, Von Holstein confirmed the gaming company would benefit from the acquisition. According to available information, the deal will be fully completed early this year.
