Microgaming’s Environment & Energy Efficient New HQ Open for Business (VIDEO)
Exciting times lie ahead for the Isle of Man based gaming developer Microgaming, one of the world’s leading producer and supplier of online casino software and services.
Proud to be a socially responsible member of the community over at the Isle of Man, Microgaming has moved on to reaffirm the status by opening new ‘environment and energy efficient’ headquarters called ‘Sixty Two’.
Microgaming’s new offices are developed adjacent to the existing building. The company’s new HQ started construction in April 2015 and was completed on 31 July 2017, but have just now been officially open for business.
New HQ Building
The five-storey building houses over 100 employees and features a unique sky bridge joining the new and the old building office, thus creating a unique business campus for the company.
Microgaming CFO John Coleman said the new headquarters have been build based on the understanding of employees’ needs and requirements, adding that the new building was specifically designed with their ideas in mind.
Staff and suppliers all had a say in the concept of the new building which is officially put to use after a number of years of hard work and commitment to see this project successfully through.
Microgaming further explained their new building had been built to meet the latest environmental requirements and energy efficiencies. It will include functions such as smart lighting which automatically dims to reduce energy consumption, whereas the air quality, temperature monitoring and centralised recycled facilities on each floor have also been incorporated.
From only six members of the staff back in 2001 when Microgaming first set up its office on the Isle of Man, the company evolved into a two-building campus in the heart of Douglas and with a sky bridge that was the company CEO’s special wish.
“Sky Bridge was a must for me!”, Roger Raatgever said.
