Microgaming On The List Of 10 Coolest Offices Of 2017
The Isle of Man-based software development company is without a doubt one of the biggest names in the business, offering high-quality games to customers and partners around the world.
To create exquisite games, you need a team of skilled professionals working together in a creative and relaxed atmosphere.
In order to allow their employees to feel comfortable at work, Microgaming began construction on its new headquarters in 2015. Only two years later, on July 31, the building located on Circular Road in the capital and largest town of the Isle of Man, Douglas.
The five-story edifice, named Sixty Two is home to more than 120 people working for Microgaming, and together with the existing building, called Twenty Six, forms a company campus.
Microgaming Chief Executive Officer Roger Raatgaver said the new building had been opened for a little over three months, and the feedback so far had been incredibly positive.
Raatgaver added Microgaming’s presence on the island continued to grow, with more than 120 staff working at Sixty Two alone.
The facility offers a perfect working environment, featuring hot desks, standing desks, work booths and break-out areas on each floor. The entire fourth floor of the building is a communal area, with a table tennis table, pool table, poker table, dart board and even a library.
Microgaming Chief Financial Officer, John Coleman said it was a fantastic achievement to feature in the list of ‘The 10 Coolest Offices of 2017’, alongside some of the UK’s biggest brands.
Coleman said the company invested a lot of time and effort into designing and creating a building where employees could practically feel at home. He added he was proud of what Microgaming had created.
Sixty-Two has also been designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
