Loto-Quebec and Evolution Gaming Sign a New Partnership Agreement
Under the provisions of the new agreement with the provincial Crown corporation, Evolution Gaming will provide Live Casino services to customers in Quebec. These services will be provided to Loto-Quebec’s customers through Evolution Gaming’s production studio based in Vancouver, which was opened last year.
Expanding Its Footprint in Canada
The move marks the expansion of Evolution Gaming’s presence in the Canadian market, where the company operates as the only regulated Live Casino provider.
Up until now, Evolution has been offering Live Casino in Canada only to customers in British Columbia and Manitoba, through a deal with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) signed in January 2018.
The studio will be expanded in order to meet the demand from customers in Canada’s second most populous province, which is home to more than 8 million people.
At the launch of Live Casino in Quebec (named “Casino en direct” in French), Loto-Quebec will offer 6 dedicated tables – of which 5 will be hosted by French-speaking dealers – in addition to 4 existing tables. According to available information, the service should go live by the end of January.
Live Casino games offered on Loto-Quebec’s website will be available not only on the desktop, but on tablets and smartphones as well, and should represent a valuable addition to company’s extensive offer which includes online casino games, poker, sports betting, lottery, bingo, and XP Games.
A Great Addition to Loto-Quebec’s Offering
Commenting on the signing of this important new deal, Sovanna Phan, Online Product Manager at Loto-Quebec said the Crown corporation was thrilled to be launching Casino en direct, as it was an innovative and a great addition to what Loto-Quebec already offered its customers on lotoquebec.com.
She added it fitted hand in glove with Loto-Quebec’s click-and-mortar strategy to engage with customers both online and face-to-face at its casinos.
Phan also stated that Loto-Quebec had selected Evolution because they wanted a partner with the vision, innovation, and capability to deliver localised, convergent solutions that would allow Loto-Quebec to deliver Live Casino in so many ways, to appeal to different players.
James Stern, Evolution’s Chief Business Officer – America & Land-based, added the service his company would be providing to Loto-Quebec underlined the flexibility of its Vancouver studio and the vast experience Evolution had in the provision of Live Casino solutions.
He pointed out the operator’s record in providing native speaking dealer solutions was a key factor, with lotoquebec.com’s French-speaking presenter tables being a key USP when serving the province’s predominantly French-speaking population.
Loto-Quebec’s latest move comes after the deal Evolution Gaming inked with BCLC, and the opening of the new production studio in New Jersey. Thanks to these two deals, Evolution will further increase its market presence in the United States and Canada and will help the renowned Live Casino provider to extend its dominance outside Europe, its traditional stronghold.
