LeoVegas Signs Multi-Year Partnership with HBL
Swedish gaming operator LeoVegas has announced it struck a deal with the German Handball Bundesliga (HBL) to become the exclusive partner for the upcoming 2017/2018 handball season.
Leovegas & Sportradar Join HBL
LeoVegas Sports division and the company’s platform Sportradar will gain access to HBL’s offline and online inventory to deliver branding content through courtside LED boards, floor stickers, interview backboards but also all digital assets such as Matchcenter.
Aiming to ‘bring heightened income and visibility’ for one of the top handball leagues in Europe, Sportradar will use its services to create a multi-faceted marketing partnership between LeoVegas and HBL.
Sportradar’s head of advertising and sponsorship sales, Dominik Beier, described the new partnership as a natural extension to the company’s exciting suite of premium services to both betting operators and sports federations and leagues.
“We have built up trusted relationship with these groups over a number of years by delivering consistently high-quality services.”, he said.
Sportradar already tapped in the football and basketball market through its partnership with German Basketball Bundesliga and Bayer Leverkusen and it is only logical to see the company move on to help handball with awareness, visibility and customer acquisition.
Expanding the Reach
As for LeoVegas, it used it newly established partnership to tap in a ‘really important’ market such as German which is expected to help the company further expand its reach. Having critically evaluated how to spend its marketing activation budget, LeoVegas concluded that landing on top of the German handball market with Sportradar would be the best solution.
“This would ensure that we are effectively and efficiently hitting our objectives and getting the value that matters to us.”, LeoVegas’ country manager for Germany, Tobias Sholz, said.
He also thanked Sportradar for guidance and assistance through the entire process of development of a unique package that includes a wide range of digital activation.
