Jumanji Slot To Go Live This February
NetEnt has announced it has inked a deal with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, under whose provision the Swedish company will launch a new video slot game based on the latest installment of the Jumanji franchise.
Titled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the upcoming release will be a sequel to the 1995 box office hit movie Jumanji, starring Robin Williams.
Lots of Fun Guaranteed
The new video slot game is scheduled to go live in February, only a couple of months after the movie itself was premiered. Launched in December, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle has taken cinemas by storm, taking home more than $765 million dollars worldwide!
Commenting on the move, Herk Fagerlund, NetEnt Chief Product Officer said that the latest deal for another high-profile title showcased the moves the company was making in diversifying its roster of games.
There’s no doubt that Jumanji will represent a valuable addition to NetEnt’s portfolio, which includes a wide variety of titles inspired by popular movies and music bands, such as Planet of the Apes, Guns N’ Roses, and Motörhead.
As Popular As Ever
Fagerlund also said the original Jumanji movie, which had debuted in 1995 was still as popular among the viewers even more than two decades after its launch, further strengthening the entire Jumanji brand. He added the company was looking forward to the premiere of the new game.
The new Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle video slot will be unveiled at this year’s ICE, on February 6, 2018.
