July Lotto Max $10M Winners Comes Forward to Collect his Windfall
Mr. David Beaudry from Montérégie took his time with collecting the life-changing Lotto Max Jackpot win worth $10 million he drew in July 2017.
Beaudry is not what you would call an avid lotto player. An occasional player as he is, David usually chooses to participate in group tickets but this time faith decided to meddle in and push him towards the staggering prize one might say.
Mr. Beaudry got to his retailer only to be disappointed by learning that all of the group tickets had been sold which is why he, therefore, decided to play alone just this once.
The Montérégie resident forgot all about his solitary ticket and did not check it until he saw on Facebook that Loto-Quebec was looking for the person who bought the $10 million winning ticket in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville.
David sat down at his computer with that ticket he forgot all about in his hand and was over the moon to realize it was him who won it. Naturally, it took him several checks on that computer before the notion finally settled.
And now a month after his winning ticket was drawn, Mr. Beaudry decided to claim his prize and agreed to share the happy moment with the media at Loto-Quebec’s head office in Montreal.
David did not share any detailed information on how he will spend his winnings.
The newly-made millionaire has joined the club of 90 peers, who became millionaires from 1 January to 8 August 2017 thanks to Loto-Quebec. The total of 75 prizes worth $1 million or over were paid during the aforementioned period as Loto-Quebec keeps bringing people joy and entertainment, at the same time changing lives of many.
