IGT To Offer Electronic Bingo In Ontario Through Partnership with OLG

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has announced it has signed an important new deal with one of the leaders in the gaming industry, International Game Technology (IGT).

Thanks to the latest agreement, OLG will become the first operator in Canada to offer the new electronic bingo content developed by the renowned gaming company.

Under the provisions of the new agreement, IGT will expand its offering to Canada, where it will offer a wide array of electronic bingo opportunities to customers in Ontario, while this move is sure to diversify the opportunities in the local lottery field.

Welcoming the New Offer

IGT will offer lottery enthusiasts in Canada its world-class electronic bingo content, which will be made available to them via numerous gaming locations across the province, operated by the crown corporation. E-bingo titles will be available at charitable gaming venues – all 12 of them – while the biggest news is the announcement that IGT’s bingo line-up will become a part of OLG’s online offering in the coming period, although we still don’t know when will this exactly happen.

IGT’s e-bingo offering includes a selection of developer’s popular games such as Pharaoh’s Legacy, Golden Rooster, and Bengal Eyes, and is sure to appeal to a wide audience of players. The offering will include other games developed by IGT, such as Play On Demand, TapTix electronic break-open tickets, and eBingo.

Entering Ontario’s market was a carefully made decision, and one of the reasons IGT decided to do so is the fact that lottery prizes are not taxed in this province. In practice, this means that winners will be able to get the full amount they actually won, which will further attract players, in addition to the charitable nature behind this activity.

Players can be rest assured that generated profits from all the games provided by OLG are invested in various projects aimed at improving local communities and the region as a whole. A portion of this funds is allocated to the horse industry as well.

Expanding Its Presence in Canada

The Reno-headquartered company has already established its presence in the Canadian market, where it offers an online ticket purchasing platform. IGT is also overseeing the legal poker operations, which means the introduction of electronic bingo to Ontario will be a natural step forward. In addition to all of this, IGT is also specialised in offering interactive gaming systems to its partners through various different platforms.

According to available information, IGT plans to offer an extremely rewarding and a custom-tailored experience to its customers in Ontario, while targeting the audience with a wide offer of popular titles.

But IGT’s plans don’t end here. After the company establishes the electronic bingo operation in Ontario, it will expand to other provinces, further increasing its market footprint. IGT has recently partnered with NetEnt in British Columbia to help the provincial crown corporation seamlessly implement and transition the renowned developer’s portfolio to its offering. Only a couple of days ago, IGT signed a new deal with Iowa Lottery to provide instant ticket printing services.
