IGT Sign Patent Cross-Licensing Agreement with Konami

One of industry’s leading omnichannel game developer and provider International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a patent cross-licensing agreement with Konami Gaming. IGT develops games which encompass various segments including Gaming Machines and Lotteries, together with Interactive and Social Gaming.

IGT and Konami Come Together

The latest agreement with Konami will allow IGT to share its wealth of premium content, innovative edge and in-depth customer intelligence with a wide audience served by this Japanese entertainment company which is considered one of the biggest game-product distributor on the planet.

And even though the Japanese company is best known for its out-of-this-world video games, Konami Gaming is a leading designer and manufacturer of slot machines and casino management systems as well.

Konami will now introduce patent game features from the extensive IGT portfolio much to the mutual benefit, whereas the Japanese company will also pay the licensing fees to IGT.

Konami’s ‘Born from Fun’ gaming mission is now given an opportunity to leverage some of IGT’s patented mechanicals in order to enhance the player experience.

International Game Technologies expect their cross-licensing agreement with Konami Gaming will demonstrate the strength of IGT’s game feature patents and the values behind this gaming company.
