IGT appoints Cristopher Spears as a new group General Counsel
We have a market update confirmed. Cristopher Spears is appointed a new corporate General Counsel and Vice President of a New York-based supplier of gambling technology IGT Group Plc.
Acting as an important member of the group’s leadership team at IGT Group Plc, Spears will oversee all counsel matters, making sure that everything is done according to the law by offering advice on regulatory stakeholder management and legal strategies.
Since Neil Abrams is retiring from the company in December 2017 and is currently assuming the position of Senior Advisor until December, Cristopher Spears will succeed the long-serving Abrams.
Before assuming this position in IGT, Spears, who is a law veteran for 19 years and specialized in multi-national operations, used to work for Caterpillar Inc.
Spear held the position of Group General Counsel at one of the biggest manufacturers of mining equipment from 2014 to 2017.

Commenting on the appointment of the new General Counsel, Alberto Fornaro Group Chief Financial Officer to whom Spears will directly report to said Spears’ skills and depth of experience with an international Fortune 500 company would foster strong partnerships with IGT’s leadership, and ensure that the company responsible met its growth objective.
