Gaming Nation Wraps Up BD Sport Group Purchase

Long-announced deal that would see the Canadian sports entertainment group Gaming Nation acquire the UK stadium betting facility company BD Sport Group has been made official last week.

Gaming Nation and BD Sport signed a definitive agreement over the $10.7 million purchase in December 2016 and the company has made an official announcement explaining that the total 100% of shares were acquired to make Gaming Nation an owner of BD Sport Ltd, BD Deportes SL., and BD Stadia Ltd.

Breach into European Market

President and chief executive of Gaming Nation, Scott Secord, has shared his excitement over the acquisition of the company that is intended to be fully integrated into the existing infrastructure of Gaming Nation.

“The combined synergies of 5050 Central and BD Sport will provide a platform for growth in both companies in an aggressive and profitable fashion.”, he said.

The purchase agreement heading into full effect will allow Gaming Nation to deploy its own 5050 Central platform into the European market, thus extending the current offer to stadium betting sector through the well-positioned BD Sport system.

In addition to in-stadium operations, BD Sport has been catering for sponsorship deal brokerage and dealing with football partnerships through its additional sport agency divisions which will allow Gaming Nation to further extend the service portfolio.

Successful Cooperation Expected

What is more, BD Sport have been known for their fully successful business partnership with the majority of UK licensed betting operators on football-related deals which means that Gaming Nation will have another new profitable service streaming into their business channels.

The $10.7 million purchase agreement also includes the addition of further $2.52 million in provisions that are related to company’s performance in the future.

BD Sports from Thornton-Cleveleys was founded in 2007 and has seen its steady growth rise to a firm which offers betting at 31 stadiums within the UK. The company employs nine full-time operators and more than 1,000 match-day staff attending to football betting duties.
