Evolution Gaming Launches the New, Faster Blackjack Variant
Say hello to the company’s new and faster blackjack variant – called the Speed Blackjack. According to Evolution Gaming, the new launch represents an improved version of its current Live Blackjack lineup.
How to play Speed Blackjack?
In terms of rules, Speed Blackjack version is the same as Live Blackjack, save for one important difference, and that’s the dealing order when a player is required to make a decision. In practice, this means that only the first two cards will be dealt as in the Live Blackjack variant.
After the first two cards have been dealt, all players involved in the game will be given the chance to Hit, Double Down or Split – at the same time. The first player to state his decision will also be the one to receive the next card first.
This dealing order will continues until all of the players have made up their mind and all cards have been awarded to them.
Speed Blackjack is the newest title to have been added to Evolution Gaming’s extensive offering of Live Casino games, which also includes First Person Lightning Roulette and First Person Dream Catcher RNG games. Both these titles added to the line-up in mid-2019 offer the possibility to transform from the First Person game to a live one.
Speaking about the recent launch, Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution Gaming said the new release was from 30-40% faster when compared to the standard variant, while at the same time offering more control for players and much less waiting time – which was even more important.
Haushalter also explained the reason behind the launch of this blackjack variant. He pointed out that for more than 100 years, players had to wait for others to make their decisions, which had prompted Evolution Gaming to ask themselves why should players have to wait.
Thanks to the new Speed Blackjack variant, players can make their decision whenever they feel ready, while those fastest will be the ones to receive the next card. Such an approach should offer players more control during the game. At the same time, this new solution will have no impact whatsoever on the mathematics of the game, as it simply cuts the waiting time.
Evolution Gaming has been very busy lately, launching new games and increasing its market presence to new markets.
In September, the company launched its Live Casino studio in Pennsylvania, offering its portfolio of products and services to local operators. The move followed the decision of the states’ Gaming Control Board to award Evolution the license.
Only a couple of months later, Evolution signed a new partnership agreement with casino operator Pen National Gaming. Under the provisions of this deal, Penn National gained access to the aforementioned Live Casino studio in the Keystone Stone, from where it will stream live table games to players all over the state.
