Delaware Online Gaming Revenue Goes up in July
The latest figures reveal Delaware generated an increase in online gaming revenue during July, even though players spent less money than they did in the corresponding month of 2018. More importantly, the state managed to bounce back from the poor performance in June when Delaware recorded its worst results so far this year.
The amount played in July reached $7,918,402.82, with total net revenue at $288,675.18 after fees. During the same month of the last year, the total amount played was significantly higher at $17,913,291.23, although the net revenue was only $248,239.78.

Customers in Delaware have a limited offer of online casinos to choose from, as only three venues are currently offering their services. These are Harrington Online, Dover Downs Online Gaming, and Delaware Park Online
Harrington Online had a total amount played of $1,573,700.05 during the month of July, with total net revenue of $63,737.79 after fees. Back in July last year, the total amount played at this online casino was $1,264,513.47, while its net revenue – after fees – reached $60,657.71. Harrington can be satisfied with an increase in revenue of around 5%.
Dover Downs Online Gaming was the most popular venue during July, with a total amount played of $3,925,962.32, and a total net revenue equalling $110,230.43. When compared to the same month of last year, Dower Downs saw both its total amount played and net revenue go up, with the latter improving by nearly 63%!
Delaware Park Led the Way in Terms of Revenue
Delaware Park Online generated the highest net revenue in Delaware during the previous month. During 31 days in July, the online casino had a total amount played of $2,418,740.45 with a total amount won of $2,321,224.85, which makes the venue’s net revenue $114,706.96.
When compared to the same month of 2018, Delaware Park witnesses a massive decrease in the amount of money spent on wagers. Delaware Park ended 2018 with a total amount played of $15,143,624.57, and with a total amount won of $15,036,779.39. At the end of the year, its total net revenue reached $119,953.32.
Delaware Park not only saw a drop in the amount of money spent, but its total revenue dropped by around 4%. This has made this venue the only online casino in Delaware to its numbers go down during July.
Delaware was the first U.S. state to make online gambling legal, back in 2012. Since then, it has become the centre of interest for the entire online gaming industry.
In related news, Delaware Lottery also revealed that the state’s sports betting market had reported revenue of $507,410 in July, along with total handle amounting to $3.9 million. This represents a drop of 38% when compared to June, and a significant decline from July last year when $8.2 million was wagered. Customer winnings also went down to $3.3 million, representing an 85.2% of amounts wagered during July.
