Casino Nova Scotia teams up with Truro Raceway

Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition is a unique facility complex in the Atlantic Canada.

It features a multitude of facilities over 65 acres of land which can be used as a venue for a variety of events, whereas it also plays host to community groups and long-term tenants. In addition, the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Complex is home to one of the largest and oldest horse racing operators in the province which has just gotten expanded with a former Harbourfront Lounge.

“Truro Raceway’s long-standing reputation for live racing dates back to 1875. The addition of simulcast racing brings year-round racing entertainment to our customers. Adding a venue in a central location in downtown Halifax helps bring the racing world to more people.”, said Truro Raceway General Manager Joe Nicholson.

Tele-Theatre

The Harbourfront Lounge brings a betting theatre that will feature daily, real-time broadcasts of horse races across Canada and all of North America with wagers able to be placed either via live clerks or at automated terminals.

All races will be featured on 16 large-format screens and promise to provide race bettors with an ultimate experience.

“As a leading entertainment venue in Nova Scotia, we are excited to partner with the primary driver of Nova Scotia’s horse racing industry. We offer a full array of gaming and entertainment options in Halifax and the addition of off-track betting is a perfect complement. The new tele-theatre and poker room are part of a broader renovation that will see a host of new amenities come online later this summer.” Casino Nova Scotia Executive Director Chris Roberts said.
