Canada’s representatives Team Canada made a trip to China feeling rather optimistic about their chances at the tournament, which have now been boosted by news that the eSports Lounge of the Elements Casino has announced the sponsorship deal with the team in effort to help the Canadian competitors aim towards title glory.
The Team Canada will be battling at a three-stage qualifier tournament during which every team will play this multiplayer shooting game with their eyes on an estimated prize pool in excess of $2.5 million.
Canada’s Pride
Elements Casino have expressed great pride at the opportunity to back a Canadian team at an eSports event, given the fact that the casino has only just opened its eSports lounge in December 2016.
“We are excited to cheer on Team Canada as they take on the best the world has to offer”, General manager of the Elements Casino Michael Kim said.
The unique WESG opportunity will provide great exposure to the newly-established section of the casino, whereas it will allow much-needed support for the Canada’s proudest to achieve their goal at the tournament.
The Team Canada have thus far fought against many problems, but are still feeling positive and upbeat, determined to compete despite the difficulties.
Considered one of the favourites at the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG), they have already staked their claim on the title.
“We want to compete no matter what and we know if we want to bring the title home to Canada, we are going to have to continue to fight until we have nothing left”. The Team Canada GM Matthew Arnold said.
