British Columbia Officially Grants Supplier License to NetEnt
It has been one of the most talked-about subjects over the past period, but NetEnt has finally received some good news from the British Columbia (BCLC).
British Columbia License
One of world’s leading gambling industry providers NetEnt has been granted a supplier license through its NetEnt Americas division.
The Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB) of British Columbia has sanctioned the authorization which allows NetEnt to supply its iGaming content to BCLC, which is the sole licensed gaming and lottery operator in the Canadian province.
NetEnt have expected the licensing process to be completed over the course of following months, so it is fair to say the people from the company got pleasantly surprised with the news.
President and CEO of NetEnt, Per Eriksson, shared his delight over another important milestone in his company’s expansion to the regulated markets.
“We are the online casino supplier with the largest presence on regulated markets in terms of number of licenses and certifications that we hold, and entering the province of British Columbia in Canada is another important step for us.”, Per Eriksson said.
NetEnt Going Strong
Official breach into the Canadian market follows the successful NetEnt launch in Mexico where the Stockholm-headquartered company operates through Codere.
The latest British Columbia license announcement adds to more than a solid start to the new year for NetEnt, who has registered a revenue growth of 15.2% in the first quarter of 2017.
The company’s operating profit also increased by 6.3%.
These are exciting times for the company which exists since 1996 and is considered one of the gaming pioneers, who have constantly been on the industry’s forefront, pushing the boundaries further into the unchartered territories.
Testament to their great work is the first-ever virtual reality slot, which was initially announced at ICE Totally Gaming 2016.
